this term we got to pick a country that we picked out and I had wales and made a eavs pudding which is a dessert and it's like a cake with apples on the bottom so I will give you the respire I did.
Things you need
- 3 Bramley apples/cooking apples about 600g
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp water
- 100 g granulated sugar
- For the sponge topping:
- 100 g self raising flour sieved
- 75 g buttery spread
- 75 g caster sugar
- 1 large egg lightly beaten
- ½ tsp vanilla bean paste
- Set your oven to 180c before you start cooking
- Get a pan out and put the lemon juice and water in the pan
- Take the peel and core out then cut quarter then cut the quarter into 3
- Then put the apples in the pan and stir to coat
- Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the apples
- Put an lid on the apples on medium heat for 5 minutes until cooked through
- Once finished turn the stove off then get a 15 cm souffle dish ready then put the apples in there to cool
- To make the sparke top get an electric whisk ready to beat together
- Put in bowl the buttery spread and caster sugar then turn electric whisk and then turn it on and stop when its light and fluffy
- Now beat in the vanilla bean paste and the eggs in a little at a time
- Fold in the flour a tablespoon at a time
- Spread the mixture over the apples
- Then put the dish into the oven for 45 minutes
- Finished when it looks golden brown
- When finished it covered it in icing sugar
